The flagship lineup from Samsung for 2026 has been leaked, indicating that six devices are expected to be released.

Samsung's 2026 roadmap is starting to emerge, and preliminary insights into unreleased software suggest that six high-end smartphones are already in development. Given that the company updates its Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series annually, the introduction of new models was anticipated. However, these new model numbers provide a more precise indication of the potential appearance of the lineup.

According to a report discovered by Android Authority within internal software, Samsung has three S-series model numbers planned for the upcoming year — SM-S942, SM-S947, and SM-S948. These are thought to correspond to the Galaxy S26, a mid-tier S26 model, and the high-end Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The uncertainty arises from how Samsung plans to name the middle device. This year's brief revival of the "Edge" branding has led to confusion regarding whether Samsung intends to continue using that designation or revert to the more traditional "Plus" branding. The leaked list also does not specifically mention an S26 Edge, aligning with previous discussions that Samsung may have abandoned it due to lower sales of the recent model. The final branding of the SM-S947 will influence how the device is priced and positioned in the market next year.

Previous naming conventions also imply that the SM-S942 is associated with the S26 Pro, while the SM-S948 is clearly designated for the Ultra variant. However, until Samsung officially confirms its branding, the mid-tier model remains the only unresolved question in the lineup.

The leak further details Samsung's next series of foldables, revealing model numbers SM-F971, SM-F776, and SM-F976. These are anticipated to belong to the Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE, the standard Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8. With this, Samsung seems poised to continue offering both Flip and Fold categories, maintaining a consistent structure for another year.

The introduction of an FE-branded foldable again indicates that Samsung is open to experimenting with more affordable pricing. The Flip FE could assist the brand in attracting foldable-curious consumers who have yet to enter the category due to high costs. Meanwhile, the Z Fold 8 ensures that Samsung's large-screen premium foldable remains a key part of its flagship offerings.

A significant omission in the leaked lineup is the absence of a successor to Samsung's forthcoming tri-fold smartphone, anticipated to be released later this year. Considering that the initial tri-fold is expected to be available in limited markets and in restricted quantities, Samsung might be awaiting demand data prior to submitting a designator for a second-generation model. A subsequent version could still be introduced later as the company finalizes its plans for this high-end segment.

Additionally, there are discussions regarding a new slim smartphone that is not associated with the discontinued S26 Edge; however, this model has also not been included in this initial leak. More model numbers may emerge as Samsung progresses with its development.
